Everyone stand on your feet for our @DicksSportingGoods @Dickshouseofsport Player of the week Keegan "Bug" Narburgh. Looking at this picture you're probably thinking, "what a cute adorable kid". You'd be wrong because the Bug in this picture with his 8 month pregnant mom coaching on the sidelines, was a knucklehead. He could kick a hole in the ball no problem, but it probably meant more duck and cover for the fans, then goals for his team. The Keegan we now know is an enthusiastic ball of energy with focus, control, and most importantly still just as adorable. Being among the youngest in a division with kids up to 3 years older, he had a lot to learn. As a member of the prestigious Pineapples team he has come into his own. As he walked onto the field and greeted me as he's done for years, he had the eye of the tiger. He wanted to play in that championship game. He wanted more than anything to win it. His team worked hard for this moment. He lost. He gave it everything he had but his team did not win. He took the loss pretty hard just like the rest of his team, but he's definitely coming back next season, he NEVER EVER misses the kids Vs coaches games so he'll be there next Saturday, and he'll keep playing soccer, keep getting better, keep having fun and undoubtedly pick up many championships along the way. He's a legend on our fields. You all know him. Give him a high five and a congrats when you see him next Saturday. For everything he's been through, he earned it. As we wind down this season our very own celebrity Keegan is showing us the journey of where you start compared to where you're headed and how far you've made it in the process. We're all so proud of you Bug. You have become a leader, a top athlete and a positive source of energy and inspiration for your team and for all of N Zone. This is well deserved and right on time.
