The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, coaching, and working with children. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical development among young athletes while creating a positive and engaging environment.
The Soccer Head Coach will be responsible for planning practices, guiding game strategies, and promoting a safe, inclusive, and fun atmosphere for all participants.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate soccer training sessions and practice plans.
- Lead coaching and coordinate game-day activities for academies, clinics, and leagues to ensure fun, safety, and skill development.
- Teach fundamental soccer skills, rules, and sportsmanship to children of various ages and skill levels.
- Foster a positive environment that emphasizes teamwork, discipline, respect, and confidence-building.
- Monitor player behavior during practices and games, applying effective behavior management techniques.
- Communicate regularly with the Director regarding session reports, player progress, and any challenges encountered.
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards and promote a safe sporting environment.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to organize sessions, games, and tournaments.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in soccer coaching, physical education, or childcare settings.
- Proven ability in behavior management and creating inclusive, supportive environments.
- Knowledge of indoor activities is a plus but not required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate young athletes and manage group dynamics effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to plan engaging practices that promote skill development, safety, and fun.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., coaching credentials, first aid and CRP) are advantageous but not mandatory.
Compensation
- $25 to $50 per hour
- Pay will be determined based on experience, credentials, and qualifications.
